This tells us that He is the fulfillment of the Messianic prophecy found in Ps. 110. Every High Priest must have something to offer unto God as they minister, and our High Priest was no different. Jesus obtained a more excellent ministry. He is the Mediator of a better covenant. He also has established it upon better promises.
