For the 40 days of Lent, believers around the world unite in recognizing Christ’s sacrifice by replicating His 40 days in the wilderness. This year, prepare your heart to celebrate and remember Christ’s completed work on the cross by turning to one of the most prolific writers of the New Testament, Paul the Apostle. Though written 2,000 years ago, his writings still resound with truth for the modern reader, as he encourages Christians to know the one in whom they believe. Join us for Letters ...

Join The Right Bible Podcast for lively discussion and a view on current events from the perspective of The Very First Bible and the first Christian church to adopt it in 144 A.D. If you're not reading the same bible as the first Christians in 144 A.D. you're reading just another book. The first Christian bible is not only the foundation of faith that virtually every denomination traces its canonical roots back to - it's also the only place you'll find the gospel preached by Paul the Apostle ...

The Second Epistle to the Corinthians is a book in the New Testament, written by Paul the Apostle. In this book, sometimes called Paul's Stormy Weather Epistle, Paul is at his most personal in dealing with the brethren at Corinth. Paul encourages the Christians to examine themselves (2 Cor. 13:5) to test whether they are to be found in Christ as a father helps his children to mature to become the image of Christ himself. (Summary from Wikipedia adapted by Sam Stinson)

The Epistle to the Hebrews (abbr. Heb for citations) is one of the books in the New Testament. Though traditionally credited to the Apostle Paul, the letter is anonymous and most modern scholars, both conservative and critical, believe its author was not Paul himself but some other member of his Pauline community. The letter has carried its traditional title since Tertullian described it as Barnabae titulus ad Hebraeos in De Pudicitia chapter 20 ("Barnabas's Letter to the Hebrews".) (Summary ...

This second letter from the Apostle Paul to the congregation of believers in the bustling port city of Corinth gives us a much more personal understanding of Paul's apostleship. He defends it rigorously, convincing his followers of his authority from God and his rights under that authority. His appeals to patience and understanding display a great emotional vulnerability in the seasoned preacher and missionary. He discusses the need to support the congregation in Jerusalem with their gifts, ...

Columbia River Bible Fellowship is a group of believers dedicated to "the preaching of Jesus Christ according to the revelation of the mystery" (Rm.16:25) revealed to our apostle, the Apostle Paul (Rm.11:13). Our services are designed around the teaching of God's Word rightly divided as revealed by the Lord Jesus Christ to Paul (II Tim.2:15). We are focused on the growth and edification process by which a believer is to be equipped so that we may labor together with God in all peace and joy ...

The Epistle of Paul to the Romans, usually referred to simply as Romans, is the sixth book in the New Testament. Biblical scholars agree that it was written by the Apostle Paul to explain that Salvation is offered through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is by far the longest of the Pauline epistles, and is considered his "most important theological legacy". (Introduction by Wikipedia)

The Second Epistle of Paul to the Corinthians, often referred to as Second Corinthians (and written as 2 Corinthians), is the eighth book of the New Testament. The letter, originally written in Koine Greek, is from Paul of Tarsus (and Timothy) to the Christians of Corinth, Greece. Paul defends his authority as an apostle. He also states the importance of forgiving others, and God’s new agreement that comes from the Spirit of the living God (2 Cor. 3:3), and the importance of being a person o ...

John Calvin was an influential French theologian and pastor during the Protestant Reformation. Calvin's writing and preachings provided the seeds for the branch of theology that bears his name. Originally trained as a humanist lawyer, he broke from the Roman Catholic Church around 1530. After religious tensions provoked a violent uprising against Protestants in France, Calvin fled to Switzerland. Calvin developed his theology in his biblical commentaries as well as in his sermons and treatis ...

Galatians is a letter from Paul of Tarsus to a number of Early Christian communities in the Roman province of Galatia in central Anatolia. Paul is principally concerned with the controversy surrounding Gentile Christians and the Mosaic Law within Early Christianity. The main theme of Ephesians is “the Church, the Body of Christ.” The Church is to maintain the unity in practice which Christ has brought about positionally. Another major theme in Ephesians is the keeping of Christ's body (that ...

The book of Ephesians is a Prison Epistle (letter written while in prison). Paul wrote it about 60-62 A.D. The key personalities of Ephesians are the Apostle Paul and Tychicus. It was written to encourage believers to walk as fruitful followers of Christ and to serve in unity and love in the midst of persecution. Join us here at South Beach Church as we study through The Book of Ephesians.

Romans has always been one of the favorite books of thoughtful Christians. In this epistle, the apostle Paul logically delineates the foundation and structure of Christian doctrine. The righteousness of God has been accurately identified as the central message of this epistle. How the righteousness of God relates to a human history of suffering, pain, and injustice, has been a frequent question through the ages. In Romans, Paul's answer shows that this question cannot be addressed in a sound bit

In Mark 3, we see the amazing story of Jesus and the man with the withered hand, and incredibly, what we are about to read about him is only the sub-text for the larger issue of the rejection of Jesus Christ by the 'conservative Right' of the Pharisees, and the 'liberal Left' of the Herodians. Tie it all together and it becomes a spiritual bombshel…
