We’re a group of friends and fellow playwrights who enjoy watching all kinds of movies, staying up late on the weekends, and drinking whiskey (well, most of us, anyway). On this podcast, we explore the midnight movie scene as it now stands in New York City and enjoy a tasty beverage while doing so. Cult classics, forgotten gems, and obscure oddities. Everything’s fair game on “Whiskey Flicks.”
 
We are Geoff and Alex - two Americans living abroad in Berlin, Germany. We will discuss our years of experience living in Europe as expats, give advice to those who are hoping to make a move abroad and share plenty of funny stories that will help give insights into life here in the land of beer and sausage. Along the way, we will test a new bottle of whiskey in each episode because…whiskey.

Pioneered by world-renowned teacher and mythologist Joseph Campbell, and refined by Disney story veteran Christopher Vogler, The Hero’s Journey is a series of motifs and archetypes that pervade myths, folklore, and stories across all cultures and eras.
