South Louisiana is being eroded not only by hurricanes, but by mainstream media's pollution as well. The Dank Swamp Rebellion celebrates southern heritage by showcasing our creatives and entrepreneurs, all throughout the Gulf Coast, giving our culture and wetlands the right kind of attention. Episodes contain unconventional interviews highlighting the real talent on our bayous, original music and graphics inspired by our guests, and a healthy helping of dank thoughts.
 
René Coman sits down with the original Troubled Man, Manny Chevrolet, over cocktails at the Ring Room, in the heart of an old-school New Orleans social haunt. Manny is an L.A. native who had been through the Hollywood wringer by his late 20s. He then moved to New Orleans to become a perennial candidate for mayor and make a feature film about it. René is a New Orleans native who's been in the music biz wringer since he was a child. They are the Troubled Men for Troubled Times.

I created this podcast in January 2006, just a few months after hurricane Katrina. The idea was to help spread positive stories about the New Orleans recovery. By 2012 the recovery was well on its way so I started focusing on the people, places and organizations that make New Orleans, New Orleans.
