DJRePete is obsessed with the way we discover music. Each week he kickstarts your Saturday with The Listening Booth with alternative, electronica, hip hop, rock, blues, jazz -- no genre is off limits! The mix is his craft, introducing listeners to the BreakThru bands of today paired with throwbacks you may have yet to discover. He loves how we are only a few clicks away from abounding international music talent. But from listening apps to genius algorithms, there's still a place for the handcrafted mix, unprogrammed and unfiltered. Before joining BTR in its early days, RePete cut his teeth in college radio at WTSR and as a radio journalist with NJ 101.5. His BTR show has been produced in homes in NY, Boston, and London. A Brooklynite these days, you'll often find him on the music discovery hunt at the slew of great venues in the city or across the globe, or in a record store feeding his vinyl habit. And when he's not pontificating into the audio stream about his latest artist obsession, he's honing his own music ambitions on the piano and the (dusty) guitar.
