Looking to buy or sell a property management, landscaping or cleaning business? Valuable tips for owners wanting a Big Exit & buyers seeking new deals.
Welcome to The Big Exits Podcast by ManageVisors. It's the only show in the nation offering amazing insights and actionable strategies exclusively to owners and buyers of property management, landscaping, and commercial cleaning companies.
Selling a business is not easy. Or quick. Roughly 80% of businesses that go on the market do not sell. Many entrepreneurs who've created profitable businesses walk away from the sales process highly frustrated and back at square one. They want to sell and move on but don't see the path forward.
The Big Exits Podcast helps make your business more marketable, more "built-to-sell." You'll learn why one company sold while another didn't. You'll also discover ways to improve your chances of a successful closing. These recurring-revenue businesses are highly desirable. Spend a few minutes with us and learn the tricks and techniques many entrepreneurs are using to double or even triple their selling price!
Our host is ManageVisors founder Brian Loring, a 15-year veteran of the business brokerage and commercial real estate trenches. A property manager himself and former owner of four businesses, Brian shows how to build a scalable, sellable company which can be passed along in a life-changing transaction.
Brian has sold more than $150 million in business and commercial transactions since 2005 and is among the 300 or so advisors who've earned the Certified Business Broker designation with the California Association of Business Brokers. He is also an Accredited Residential Manager, a professional certification from the Institute for Real Estate Management granted to third-party property managers and investors. At the same time, he holds the designation of Certified Value Builder, an international group of consulting and financial professionals with keen insights into making a business "built-to-sell."
He brings unique perspectives as both a business sales professional and real estate veteran. Brian spent nearly a decade in office and industrial leasing, ground-up shopping center development, and institutional apartment sales. This included stints at real estate firms Grubb & Ellis, Berkadia, and NAI Capital along with business brokerages Raincatcher, eBiz Advisers and First Choice Business Brokers. During the recession years, his property and asset management firm developed a fund to purchase value-add apartments, single-family homes, and foreclosure properties. These combined experiences demonstrated to him the critical importance of excellent property management.
It's a purpose-driven show with goals extending far beyond the next transaction. We want to make your business stronger. We'd love to make your exit bigger. We hope to make our industry better. Join us.
