“I’m bad at sales” That is something I hear a lot. Perhaps something I’ve even been guilty of saying. Why? Because we have this misperception that sales is a high pressured strategy to take money from people who do not want to give it. We think about the telemarketer, the used car salesman, the spam emailer, the door to door sales person. THAT IS NOT SALES Sales is about caring about the person you were talking to, and believing in what you can deliver them. “Care about” “Believe in” That doesn’t sound like a high pressured tactic at all… that sounds like forming a real human connection to try to help someone else. THAT IS SALES So… If you can care about the person you’re talking to… And if you can believe in what you are trying to deliver… Then you are excellent at sales.
