245: Solocast - What’s The Difference Between Grind and Hustle Culture and Working Toward Your Goals

Did you know that there’s a huge difference between grinding and hustling and actually working toward your goals? I’m sharing the difference and how many of us use our work to escape everything else. It’s an addiction and it’s time to quit.

I started working on a new book and it really inspired me to get to the root of this issue that I have with overworking. It’s a problem that I’ve had since I was very young. I was driven and if I wasn’t moving and going and succeeding at something then I was devastated.

But that’s not how we’re supposed to live our lives. Hustle is not the way to success. It is a one-way ticket to burnout town and life of dissatisfaction. Which is why I’m sharing my tips on quitting the hustle and leaving work in its proper place.

Listen in to hear why time blocking and accurately estimating your time blocks are both extremely important. Wherever your “work” blocks are in your schedule, do the work for the time you’ve allotted and then walk away.

Don’t forget to schedule in some white space into your calendar. If you don’t schedule it in, it won’t happen. So put it on your schedule and make it non-negotiable.
