Episode 28 and Wendi and Dfernando celebrate their one year Friend-iversary.

After months of frequently sliding into each other's DMs on Instagram whenever something of interest came across their desks - like a new film trailer, an fabulous photo, etc, - Wendi and Dfernando finally met in person on Sunday October 20, 2019 in New York City on a photo shoot they both wanted to do together and which Dfernando produced, art directed and styled. The rest is his/her-story.

One instant common denominator they both shared was their appreciation of their life and career journeys and how being 50 plus felt no different than being 20 and how silly everything truly is. He shared with her the mantra he's had since his late teens: "we don't grow up, we just get older."

About a week after Dfernando returned to NYC from spending some time with Wendi in California and hanging out with her on the sets of THE GOLDBERGS and RENO: 911!, the COVID 19 pandemic shut the globe down completely. Within a week of quarantine, Wendi brought up the idea of starting a podcast and that is when the seed was planted and GENERATION RIPE was born.

On Episode 28 - the one year Friend-iversary episode, Wendi and Dfernando ask each other 5 Questions, chat about her recent DESIGNING WOMEN Reunion Zoom reading of the Pilot episode and her appearance on Heather McDonald's podcast JUICY SCOOP, answer submitted fan questions, share some stories and there's the weekly RIPE & ROTTEN REPORT.
