Aldaron Laird has lived in Humboldt County since 1975. Graduating from Humboldt State University he went on to work on environmental conservation issues, including salmon habitat restoration, with various governmental agencies. Now he is considered one of the leading experts on sea level rise, particularly how it will affect Humboldt County's bay and coastline. Aldaron will be speaking on the topic on Thursday March 28 as a featured lecturer in the Sustainable Future Speaker Series sponsored by HSU's Environment and Community Department.
