After last weekend's British Podcast Awards, Chris Pearson and Laura Grimshaw run through the winners. Matt Hill and Matt Deegan, the awards organisers and co-founders, discuss putting the awards together. We'll hear about the long process to whittle down over 1500 entries to the eventual winners, and they tell us what it meant to bring together some of Britain's top podcasters after last year's virtual event. VENT Documentaries took home three awards- Smartest Podcast, Best Documentary and the prestigious Podcast of the Year. Senior Producer Jesse Lawson tell us how the producers gave young people a platform to explore ideas and topics of their choosing. Plus Lynette Norah, host of the award winning VENT Documentaries episode 'Problem Kids', tells us about her relationship with podcasting.
