The Bank of England announced that it would be changing its mandate to reflect the goal of transitioning to net zero. Campaigner for Reclaim Finance, Paul Schreiber explains that while this change in mandate will primarily affect asset purchases, the bank is also integrating climate risk more broadly into their practices. He told Daybreak Europe's Roger Hearing and Caroline Hepker that at the moment the majority of bonds purchasable by the BOE are from carbon intensive sectors.
