Today on The Karen Kenney Show, I'm sharing a funny story about how having a spiritual practice can help you to slow down the ego's tendency to react like an asshole. Ha!

Difficult situations, people and things are going to come our way but we can choose to meet them with love (and sometimes, a sense of humor).

The actions of others and the happenings of the world around us are often out of our control and yet how we decide to respond to these things, will set the tone for what happens next.

This doesn’t mean that we should become a doormat or put up with unacceptable behavior. Nor does it mean that hard things won’t come our way or that life will always be wicked easy. Because we know that’s just not how things work here. Ha!

However, if we take the time to create a DSP (Daily Spiritual Practice), dial into our Spiritual Team and make a consistent effort to slow down our minds and our mouths - we have a much better chance to represent ourselves in the way that best reflects the love that we truly are.

This isn’t always easy to do, but with some daily dedication, determination, discipline and devotion - we can actually learn to slow down the “A-hole Reflex”!
