On this weeks episode we have Dr. Pete Friesen. Dr. Friesen has spent 21 years as the Head Athletic Trainer/Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Carolina Hurricanes. Pete has also worked with the Canadian Olympic and International programs for over 30 years including the 2004 World Championship in Czech Republic. Pete has a wealth of knowledge and experience and it was great to get a chance to sit down and learn from one of the best. Pete is one of the only coaches in professional sports for to the Head Athletic Trainer, Head Strength Coach, Head Physical Therapist, and Massage Therapist for 20 years. We discuss what is was like to wear all those different hats and how he was able to succeed at the highest level. Pete is currently an Assistant Consulting Professor at Duke's School of Physical Therapy in the areas of Sports, Orthopedics and Exercise and also lectures at Campbell University, East Carolina University, University North Carolina, Duke and University of Connecticut in the departments of Physical Therapy.
