In this episode, Arnie and Fred talk of the Old Testament prophecies about the Messiah that the apostles note in the New Testament. Peter made reference to what David had said about Jesus in two of his Psalms which Peter declared that it certified Jesus to be Christ, the Messiah. Later on Peter accused the Chief Priests and Elders of being those who rejected the head cornerstone that David referred to in Psalm 118. In Acts 10, Peter referred to no less that four Old Testament prophets who prophesied that the remission of sins would be available through Christ. When Paul was in Antioch of Pisidia he called attention to Christ's resurrection which fulfilled two Old Testament prophecies. When Pail wrote to the Romans, he mentioned that God's prophets had promised the coming of the gospel and Christ being of the seed of David. Take about 30 minutes to follow along in our discussion of these prophetic references of the apostles which provide us with more evidence of the fact that Jesus is the Messiah, the Christ and the Son of God.
